I am so grateful to be teaching Title I reading at Cardinal Maida Academy this year. The staff has been
so welcoming, and the students are so well-mannered and ready to learn!  I graduated from Slippery
Rock University in special education and elementary education.  For about the last 30 years, I worked as
a special education teacher with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit where I serviced children in the East
Allegheny, Woodland Hills, and West Mifflin School Districts.  After receiving my reading specialist
certification from the University of Pittsburgh, I am so happy to be focusing on reading instruction. 
     My husband Gary, and I are now "empty-nesters" as our two children, Lisa and Jon Michael,
are now in college.  We live in Monroeville and are members of the St. Bernadette Parish.
